To NSW(14): The last dinner at Lowenbrau, the rocks…

IMG_4125IMG_4129
Everything has to come to an end, even though it’s a good one, as was my time in Sydney. No doubt, I had a FANTASTIC time in Sydney, met SK & WY, made other new friends I never thought would happened, seen most of what i wanted and planned to see. Even break the rule of NO GAMING in Sydney, playing dota till late midnight.Have not touch any game since I came over to Adelaide. It has been a GREAT 2-weeks spent over there, gained a lot which I didn’t anticipated, made me for once while in Australia MALAYSIAN again, haha. Those guys are all going back to Malaysia, except Jonanthan who remained there while I have to go back to reality again…

So many feelings and thoughts rushed through my head the night before my departure back to Adelaide while trying to zzzz. From a noisy, busy, happening house back to a four wall house…Found it hard to accept, LOL, like a dream shattered to pieces. Even though, I did spent quite a bit, but all well-spent and definitely NO REGRETS!!! yeah!!!

Anyway, life is back to normal and got more to catch up, to do, to focus on before you even realized, lol. Time never stop to wait for u...That’s life…

To NSW(13): 01.01.2010 Sydney harbour bridge walk, yeah!!!

The Sydney harbour bridge walk, I guessed it’s a must-do list while visiting Sydney. The experience of walking across the famous bridge and looking at the design of the bridge up close and all the good views from the bridge make the walk definitely worth the energy and time!!!

I also don’t know why i still have the energy left in me to do the walk after a late night NYE 2010, LOL. Anyway, enjoy the walk with me :)

The beginning of the walk starts from the rocks.
  IMG_3948 IMG_3949 IMG_3950

One have to climb some stairs to get to the cahill expressway where the bridge is.

To NSW(12): 2010 new year eve in Sydney!!!

Wondered how I spent my new year eve for year 2010???
Did i have an awesome new year eve??
Here’s d story, haha.

Yes, I’m in SYDNEY with the famous iconic opera house and harbour bridge!!! How cool right?? haha, best of all…i have a chance to see some said the world’s best new year eve fireworks display here!!!

We managed to pull a few friends to go watch together. SK had seen it 2 times dy from Milson points, thus he suggested a switch of the vantage point to Mrs. Macquarie point which is said to be THE BEST vantage point with view of the opera house and harbour bridge from perfect distance.

The thing is Mrs.Macquarie point is the BEST and the WORST too, haha. Why?? Read on…

SK’s friend told him that one have to go queue up early morning to get entry and EARLIER to get the best/comfortable spot!!! Did you see what i just wrote?? Early morning!!! The fireworks is at midnight 12AM, yet you have to be there early morning!!!! KL also no need so early!!!

So in order to gain entry, we tried our best to get there as early as possible. Prepared our breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the day.

Actually there are many vantage points around the harbour to view the fireworks (which I only realized how many they are after new year eve, LOL), though out of all, there are 5 top spots among them are Mrs.Macquarie point and Milsons point. Some you watch right under the bridge so you get to see the close shot of fireworks, some further so you get more overall view.

The map below from http://www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/nye/2010/VantagePoints/default.aspx show all the vantage points in red and all the fireworks locations. As you can see, I always thought the fireworks are mostly fire from the bridge, but apparently it is not (at least not 2010 NYE), there are shot from several locations including on boats along the harbour and from top of the buildings which to me is AWESOME!!!

Anyway, yup we got up, made our way all the way to Royal botanic garden where Mrs. Macquarie point is located inside. We got there by 10-11am and WERE SHOCKED!!! Totally shocked!!! WHy??

See the pictureS below……

To NSW(11): Awesome Bondi to Coogee coastal walk

 IMG_3316
That’s right!!!! YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE, so CHERISH your life to do the things you wana do e.g go backpacking!!!!  And one of the activity you must do while you are at Sydney city is this Bondi to Coogee coastal walk!!!!! haha. Obviously, this big slogan you’ll see at Bondi beach is more meant for dun play play with water rather what i mentioned on top, haha.

Anyway, there are plenty of beaches to go in Sydney, Manly beach, bondi, coogee are among the more famous ones. And there’s also a famous walk along the coastal of Sydney which is Bondi to Coogee which is 6km long and takes about 2-3hrs on a good pace. This walk also extend to Maroubra further down which less people done it.

This walk offers spectacular views of beaches, the rocky coastal and definitely a good way to enjoy life by walking/jogging along this coastal!!! It’s by far one of the best city coastal walk I’ve ever done!!! Though the sun can be quite damaging on your skin which happened to me, haha. I didn’t realized that the sun is so intense while i was walking, the result only appeared a day later, haha. All my skins kena sun burned!!! So remembered to put on sun screen!!!

I walked both ends of bondi beach then continue on the bondi-coogee coastal walk which took me almost half a day on a reasonable pace with all the relaxing (which u can’t help because of the view) and photo shooting.

Now let my pics show u how great the walk is!!!!

How good if you are able to learn surfing at such young ages!!! sigh.
IMG_3310IMG_3317

Because it’s summer, it’s like all Sydney people came out to grab their share of the sun!!! Everywhere was people mountain people sea!!!

Apartments by the sea!!! Only for the rich!!! there are many rich people that live here!!!!
IMG_3333 IMG_3335

Trying to shoot a photo of me with the roaring waves!!! but alas…..shoot till gave up, not even a single timing was right, haha.
 IMG_3402

These 2 pics below clearly showed how crowded the beach was, but it seems alright because everyone get their share of the beach, all the kids with family, couples, old uncle aunties, macho men, sexy ladies, ……and u’ll see many people jogging here!!!! Very typical western beach!!!
IMG_3413
IMG_3416

I’m here at the other end of bondi beach. And also worth mentioning is, there’s a life saving club at almost every beach and life guard!!! WHich is really good, just like bay watch, haha.

Look at the clear blue sea water of Tamarama beach!!! Jealous?? This is just a bus ride away from Sydney city man!!!!!
IMG_3484

Again packed with salted fish everywhere waiting to be dry!!! haha. One of the thing i found very good of the whatever municipal council that build this walk is that, there included spaces for people to do exercise to promote healthy lifestyle!!! like the one u see below (right pic), for pushing ups, chin ups,….etc!!! Amazing huh??

 IMG_3618IMG_3620

From this angle, the architecture of the opera house can clearly be seen and appreciated more rather than the usual view on the other side!!!
 IMG_3628
IMG_3633 IMG_3634

This is Sydney!!! U can wear bikini and show your body even in a park!!! Something you would be brought to the police station if you are in M’sia, LOL.
IMG_3635

Didn’t manage to see the goverment house…
IMG_3637 IMG_3638

The conservatorium of music outside one of the botanic garden entrance which looks like a castle itself, weird, haha.
IMG_3639 IMG_3640

Well, quite tired actually after the whole half day spent under the sun walking but it was WELL WORTH it, make sure u do it too while visiting Sydney!!!
