Nodame Cantabile, MUST watch for classical and orchestra music lovers

Nodame Cantabile (のだめカンタービレ, Nodame Kantābire) is a manga by Tomoko . It received the 2004 Kodansha Manga Award for shojo and has been licenced in North America by Del Rel Manga. In Japan it already received two adaptations to TV, a live-action drama which aired in 2006 and an anime series which aired in 2007. A game based on the manga was announced for the Nintendo, for release in spring 2007.

Shinichi Chiaki, born into a musical family,is the top piano student at the Momogaoka College of Music and an excellent violinist, but Chiaki doesn't care about playing these instruments as much as he dreams of someday being a conducter. Chiaki, however, has several deeply rooted fears of travelling, so find himself "trapped" in Japan. Because he's trapped, Chiaki starts to question exactly how far he can possibly go in music, especially when he's passed over again and again by others he believes less worthy of musical scholarship and fame

Recently dumped by his girlfriend for a "ham" looking fellow, passed over for a chance to go overseas, and removed from his star spot in the piano competition because he walked out on his piano instructor, Chiaki is at his limit. This is when he meets Nodame, or Megumi Noda. Nodame is a free — and filthy — spirit who reminds Chiaki that music can be fun, an extremely talented pianist who wants to be a kindergarten teacher, she prefers playing by ear rather than reading the music scoreand what drew him to be a conductor in the first place. In learning how to deal with Nodame, Chiaki learns how to deal with others. Chiaki begins to realize what is possible for him, even within the country of Japan……. Opportunities open up as both begin taking risks, stretching themselves far more than they ever thought possible.

I personally like this drama very much, one would never expect such a great drama from the idea of music and orchestra. It influenced me alot on orchestra and symphony band, of how great and grant it is. This drama shows how hard is it to actually to be at the top of music. THrough this drama too, i got to approached more GREAT SUPERB symphony songs like Beethoven symphony no.7 and Gerwin's Rhasopdy in blue which are the 2 symphony i love the most. It totally change my mind on spending the money to go listen to orchestra!! NOW i even long to go hear those great showcase from Malaysia Philharmornic Orchestra (MPO)!! Besides that, this drama has alot of funny character. It's animation and manga are also famous. Haha, i like the orhestra playing part so much that i rewatch that "special orchestra" performances a few time, haha.

Jap Drama: SuMMersnoW 夏之雪

Another japanese drama which i liked very much.....

IT"S ABOUT

A love story between a young man who has been forced to grow up too quickly, and a young woman with an ailment that has placed restrictions on her life. Natsuo (Domoto Tsuyoshi) has been looking after his younger brother and sister since the death of their parents. He has also been running the family bicycle shop. Yuki (Hirosue Ryoko) becomes the only person in the world in whom he can confide. For Yuki, Natsuo becomes the catalyst that has her trying to break out of her cocoon.

Summer Snow covers a variety of areas such as teen pregnancy, taking responsibility for your actions, true love, sacrifice, knowing when to do what's right, choosing to live your life depsite physical limitations and many others. I would readily suggest this to anyone who wants to watch the best of Japanese dramas.
Here's Summersnow song from akira senju..........i just LOVE tis song!!

Jap drama: ORANGE dayS

Another jap. drama watch..........a nice 1 ........concerning luv, frenship and university life.........which kind of suits teenagers life or youth's appetite CALLED Orange days....

here's the synopsis......

Kai Yuuki (Satoshi Tsumabuki) is in his senior year at university studying social welfare psychology. At present, he is in the middle of job-hunting season. He is finding it difficult with no job offers so far.One day, he meets a girl who is playing violin in the campus. She is Sae Hagio (Kou Shibasaki). In marked contrast to her beautiful tone and attractive looks, her personality is somewhat impertinent. And to top it off, she communicates through very vulgar sign language.Four years ago, she lost the most important thing for a violinist - her hearing. As a result Sae closed off her inner self from the outside world.Kai finds himself on a date with Sae, in place of his best friend. Unexpectedly, he comes into contact with Sae's private side.Love, job-hunting, friendship... Setting a campus in spring as a dorama`s backdrop, it's the start of a glittering youth drama.

The writer is the same person who once wrote famous "beautiful Life".

Jap Drama: 1 litre of tears...1リットルの涙, Ichi Rittoru no Namida

Just 2 days before the wild boar year.........i managed to spare a whole day watching the 11 episodes of japanese drama .............

i was not backed in Kuching for CNY celebration...........initially planned to do my writing up for thesis draft, however..........i was not in the mood for the draft, end up watching the drama serie..........i started with 2 episodes...then only to find out that ai longed to watch the next one, and totally not in the mood to start on my draft.........haha, couldn't resist the temptations.............plus it had been a pretty long long time since i actually have the chance to sit down properly and watch a whole lot of drama.

1 Litre of Tears (1リットルの涙, Ichi Rittoru no Namida) is a drama about a girl who was diagnosed with a disease called Spinocerebellar Degeneration when she was 15 years old, and was able to continue her life until her death at the age of 25 years old. Erika Sawajiri played this girl in this drama.

The plot is based on the true story of a Japanese girl named Aya Kiko(木藤亜也, July 19, 1962 may 23-, 1988) who had the same disease. She kept writing in her diary to remember her experiences until she could no longer hold a pen. Aya simply wished to live until the end of her life, and the purpose of writing in the diary was to remind herself to not give up. She shed tears many times, at the same time encompassed by the rich love and support from her family and friends. Her diary 1 Litre of Tears was published shortly before her death. It encouraged many people, healthy or diseased, because of its inspiring and courageous messages. As Aya wrote, "Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing."

The book "One Litre of Tears" has sold over 1.1 million copies in Japan alone.

Aya Kito proved her courage and positive attitude towards an uncertain future when suffering such an illness, Spinocerebellar ataxia. Another attraction of tis drama is d actress is beautiful too, look like kyoko fukada.............and i was touched by the story too.......learn about the Spinocerebellar Degeneration disease..........and many moral values...............ppl must realize how lucky of them to have a normal body with normal hands, legs........body system........and learn to appreciate them, cherish the ppl around them...........every single little thing and blessings..............compared to Aya which developed the disease at age 15, all the wonderful days and moments.......were gone as the disease developed..................but she still lived strongly..........despite of the pain and the look from other ppl which she got to endure.............we are very lucky, ..............we must be happy and thankful that they live a healthy normal life.................

Highly recommeded to watch,....if u like touching dramas.........haha, do prepare urself a box of tissue^^

THe soundtrack was superb.......i like it very much.........
